Reach – Understanding Genesis 3:1-7
The story of Adam and Eve isn’t a children’s story about biting a poisonous apple. It’s not even the story of Original Sin, as we were taught. It’s about Original Love. It’s a love story that began with two people and continues all the way to Christ. The story of God’s infinite love for us. Jesus did not come that we might escape who and what we are. Jesus did not come that we might escape humanity; but that he might solve the original problem of broken humanity and marred image. He came that we might finally live authentically human lives. Living lives to the fullest. Loving God. Loving ourselves. And loving our neighbors.
