We are approaching Holy Week.  On the Thursday of Holy Week, Jesus met with his disciples for the Passover meal.  After they had all eaten, he took some bread and wine and blessed it, saying, “This is my body.  This is my blood.”  Jesus used this meal as a way to prepare his disciples for his death, and instituted the practice of the Lord’s Supper, instructing them to do this in remembrance.

Join us March 24th for a special Maundy Thursday worship experience in our Family Life Center.  Enter the room for quiet reflection at 6:15 as we share in a full meal.  After the fellowship meal, Pastor Phil will lead a devotion on the Lord’s Supper, and we will have communion around the dinner tables.  This experience of communion is different from our regular observance in the sanctuary; but it more closely resembles the experience of the first disciples.

May God bless us all as we commemorate his love for us through Christ’s sacrifice.
