Meet our Pastor
 |
Pastor Phillip Barton has proudly served Dortches Baptist Church since June 2010. His love for the Lord and Christ's ministry is paired with his love for his family. He has encouraged our church to be family-oriented in designing our programs to meet the needs of all ages.
We are glad to have Pastor Phil on staff and look forward to having him serve our church and community for years to come.
Rev. Phillip Barton was ordained in the Baptist faith on November 2004. He has served churches in Virginia and North Carolina. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Studies from Bluefield College, Virginia; a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Bluefield College; and a Masters in Divinity from the Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond, Virginia.

Music Ministry
 |
Margie Jesse is the music minister in charge of both adult and preschool/children's choir. She serves the community through her employment as a middle school band director, and she serves our church through her commitment to bringing a joyful noise out of all of us. Mrs. Jesse also performs in a local jazz band. Music is her life, and she is glad to turn her God-given talent into ministry through her leadership role at Dortches Baptist Church.

Youth Ministry
 |
Michael and Jennifer Brown joined our team of staff in March 2011. They come together as a team who lovingly support our youth. They have earned both the respect and trust of our committed group of teens. The Browns lead by example, and the youth draw strength from this couple's commitment to the Lord, each other, and the every youth that comes through our doors.

Secretary
Sherry Krause is our church secretary. She keeps regular office hours on Monday thru Thursday from 8:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Mrs. Krause keeps us organized and does a great job informing the church through our weekly bulletins. If you need to put something on the church calendar, please let Sherry know.
